Cello Duet Concerts With Jacqueline Phillips

Update 28/04/2023:

These concerts have been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Tickets have been refunded.

In May 2023, Jacqueline Phillips and I will be performing a concert or two in in the UK.

Here is a quick background on Jacqueline:

Jacqueline Phillips is an established, much sort after and respected solo, chamber and session cellist and has appeared in the UK and at many international venues.
As a recitalist she has gone on tour with her pianist to Dubai, Russia and many halls and churches in the UK.
Her career began when she was 7 and within 2 years entered the Royal College of Music of Music Junior Department and received a scholarship to the prestigious Purcell school at the age of 12.
She studied under legendary teachers like Amaryllis Fleming, Joan Dickson, William Pleeth and the Juilliard teacher Aldo Perisot at the Banff Centre of the Arts under a Yehudi Menuhin Scholarship after her studies at the Royal College of Music senior department.
Her talent led her onto winning the 1st prize at the International competition, Rovere d'ore in Italy and being a finalist in the Young Musician of the year and 3 years running of the Royal Overseas League competition in London.
She is an extraordinary versatile musician with a polished technique and instinctive musical flair for a variety of genres. Such is her cool-headed versatility that she has been seen playing solo cello with Marc Almond (Soft cell) on his 2018 Tour whilst a few days later performing Shostakovich's cello and piano Sonata at the Arc Centre in Old Harlow.
She has given many concerto performances including Boccherini's B flat concerto at the Purcell Room, the Walton under the great conductor Norman Del Mar and most recently in 2019 Saint-Saen's concerto at the Drill Hall in Hertfordshire.
As well as a busy solo and chamber player, she is highly regarded for her orchestral work performing with BBC Concert, BBC NOW, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and guest leading Scottish Opera, Irish Chamber Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra and many other choral concerts.
Her recent work has included performing in a piano quintet for the BBC concert orchestra for the Streetwise opera concert in Nottingham.
On Jacqueline's YouTube Channel you can view her performing some of her solo works.

Currently we've got one public date booked, which is Halifax Minster on May 26th. You can get tickets here.

Hopefully we'll be booking an extra date or two - I'll update the blog/tickets if that happens.

Jacqueline will be performing some solo cello pieces, and then we'll be performing some duets together. It'll be a fantastic evening and hopefully I'll see you there.
